NEXISTORAGE R18 is a modular battery energy storage system (BESS) rack developed by VONSCH s.r.o. The rack contains 18 LV battery modules connected in series. Depending on the selected variant – LV01 (NMC, 117.8 kWh), LV02 (NMC, 133.6 kWh) or LV03 (LFP, 83.2 kWh) – the energy capacity, DC voltage and system lifetime are adapted accordingly.
Control is provided by VONSCH's hierarchical BMS architecture – BMS12C (slave) at the module level, BMSM3V3 (master) at the string level, and centralised control via NSBC (NEXISTORAGE Battery Controller – PLC + HMI touchscreen). For grid integration, the rack connects to the NEXICONTROL 400 200 GSE inverter, forming a complete BESS with up to 200 kW per string.
The modular ecosystem allows scaling from a single rack through multi-rack configurations to containerised solutions for industrial and commercial applications. The LV03 LFP variant features significantly longer cycle life and improved thermal stability – ideal for applications with daily cycling and FCR/DFS ancillary service requirements.
